ACMO Advocates for Realistic Management Expectations
Can a part-time management contract deliver the same experience as a full-time one? Is the liability the manager carries the same? Clearly not! ACMO is advocating with both the CAO and the CMRAO to ensure that they better understand the realities of smaller communities and how effective, professional management can be leveraged to best serve these communities. Not every condominium is located in an urban centre and has 24-hour staff. Those authoring regulations and setting expectations for service (and cost!) must be made aware of the unique challenges within these communities.

CAT Expands to Include Meetings
ACMO is honoured to have consulted with the CAO as they consider the implications of the expansion of the Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT). ACMO views the expansion as an opportunity to uphold consumer protection principles within the unique framework of condominium living. Democratic stability must be supported in disputes. Look forward to additional resources and education to support mangers through this transition.
