Smart Procurement: Delivering Value Through Strategic Sourcing
ACMO Advocates for Model Management Contract Changes
First created in 2017 in anticipation of licensing changes, ACMO has assembled a group of legal eagles to revamp the Model Management contract to specifically address the rising risks to Managers and Management Service Providers born of Fire and Life Safety and other risks. We are excited to share revamped documents with ACMO Corporate members in the third quarter and will encourage feedback prior to finalizing our public-facing documents.
Changes will also incorporate the growing demand for à la carte management service options (as opposed to full-service contracts). We further believe that articulating the difference serves to better educate Condoland with respect to Condominium Corporation obligations, risk mitigation, and the realities of current service expectations set by regulators.
New Member Webinars
We launched our first new member webinar in June. Thank you to those who attended (who also served as our “beta-testing group”). We look forward to welcoming new members quarterly at similar presentations and are developing content specific to Corporate members and Associate members, customized to their experience of ACMO.
Demystifying Burnout and Self-Care in Condominium Management
In support of Managers and Management Service Providers, ACMO launched their awareness, advocacy and education programming in service of workplace wellness. ACMO took a leadership role in identifying the need for greater education and support. In articles in our Spring CM Magazine, presentations at Springfest, our May luncheon, an advanced certificate course and the Burlington Conference, word is spreading, care is growing, change is happening. Thank you to all who have shared their stories through our social media channels using #TellMeAboutItCondoland and #CommitToTheShift.
We have heard you: we are currently working on additional peer supports and will continue to offer mental health education so that Managers can care for themselves.
ACMO Mentorship Program
We look forward to launching the skills-based mentorship program. Designed to bridge the gap between newly licensed managers and those who understand the impact of daily tasks, this program will feature experienced managers and associates and provide opportunities to complete tasks and make professional connections.
