Licensing Update

On December 16, 2016 a draft of the proposed regulations for the Condominium Management Services Act, 2015 was released for public consideration and comment.

The public was invited to provide input on the new regulations by February 6, 2017. ACMO struck an ad hoc review committee to provide its recommendations on the proposed regulations.

New Minister of Government and Consumer Services

In a cabinet shuffle due to the departure of David Orazietti, Tracy MacCharles has been re-appointed Minister of Government and Consumer Services. Minister MacCharles is already familiar with the changes to the Condominium Act, 1998, as she previously held this position during the early discussions of licensing in 2013–14. She will continue to serve as Minister Responsible for Accessibility.
