Dear Minister Crawford;
We are writing on behalf of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) to congratulate you on your appointment as the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. We wish you well as you take on your new responsibilities.
Formed in 1977, ACMO is Ontario's only professional association dedicated to supporting and promoting the condominium management profession. Our mission is to advance the quality and performance of condominium managers and management companies and the services they provide. As the voice of condominium management representing more than 1,700 professionals across Ontario we provide expertise, education, resources, networking, and support while adhering to the highest educational and ethical standards.
Over the years ACMO has worked with Ministers like yourself on a variety of public policy issues. We worked closely with the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services on the passage of amendments to the Condominium Act, 1998, the Condominium Management Services Act, 2015 (“CMSA”) and the regulations enacted pursuant to that legislation. We are pleased to be viewed as a valued partner in the process of developing those legislative and regulatory amendments and look forward to future consultations on issues impacting the condominium industry. In particular, we would like your support with respect to elements of this Act, which remain unproclaimed and will be lost at the end of 2025.
We know your challenges are many as you move forward to implement policy initiatives for the people of Ontario and would like to offer our support and advice moving forward. We would welcome the opportunity to brief you on the work that we do and how it advances the interests of both our members and consumers. We will follow up with your office over the next few months to find a time to meet.
