The standard ACMO 2000 Certification or Compliance audit is conducted in-person over two consecutive days by a trained auditor to ensure consistency, credibility, and confidentiality. The purpose of the audit is to confirm that the property management firm has implemented and conforms to the requirements of the ACMO 2000 Certification Manual and the eight quality management principles on which the manual is based. A full audit for initial certification purposes is comprised of all of the activities listed below (as detailed in the ACMO 2000 Certification Manual provided to firms several months in advance of the audit).
For firms already ACMO 2000 Certified, the Compliance Audit will cover these same areas, however, the auditor may sample processes to confirm ongoing compliance rather than conducting a full review.
Following the audit, the auditor will provide ACMO with a copy of the audit report and ACMO will communicate the results to the audited firm.
